· The US shut down may end soon since the Leaders are trying to find a cordial solution for the impasse that has paralyzed the nation. Many thinkers believe that the shut down could have avoided but, the legislators and the executives have decided otherwise. If the US treasury defaults the credibility of the US will be eroded in the global market.
· Eugene F. Fama and Lars Peter Hansen of the University of Chicago and Robert J. Shiller of Yale University have won this year’s Nobel Prize for Economics. Their research in asset price analysis that re-defined the economics and investors’ perspective has done a great job in the fragile - modern economy. The virtual world stocks and the housing stocks and the risks involves in them were the key issues that won this year’s Noble Prize.
