DESCRIPTION
The Global Marketing team is responsible for driving the strategic marketing agenda for Nielsen and executing at the corporate brand level, including creating demand and closing sales through client pitches and proposals, event and creative execution. The team sits at the center, collaborating directly with Communications, Thought Leadership, Digital and all regional Marketing & Communication teams.
Key Responsibilities
The VP, Global Marketing, Sales Enablement is a critical role in helping the company close sales, around the world and across all businesses. If you have a passion for winning, the ability to empathize, know how to position content to demonstrate value and can simplify the complex, this is the job for you!
You will lead a team working directly on positioning and messaging sales pitches and proposals for high priority revenue opportunities for the organization. In addition, you will focus on other strategic marketing areas, including product positioning and messaging, industry marketing strategies and practice development. You will work directly with senior stakeholders, responsible for creating valuable relationships resulting in an activity pipeline for the team. The vision for your team is to enable all revenue around the world; so knowing how to create and syndicate content is critical to your success. You will focus on the continued growth of the core business, strategic priority industries, RFPs and capability materials that demonstrate our leadership position around the world.
This role is highly visible in the organization and drives significant strategy, revenue and positioning for the brand. QUALIFICATIONS
Key Skills/Competencies:
Strong leadership skills to manage a team to their advancement and success
Experience engaging with senior leadership and cultivating relationships at all levels of the organization
Proven marketing strategy skills, self-motivated, creative, open minded and knowledgeable
Excellent verbal communication skills
Strong attention to details and ability to multi-task and prioritize
Strong interpersonal skills to interface with numerous internal stakeholders
Global experience desirable
Qualifications:
Knowledge of CPG and/or media industries
BS/BA in Marketing or related field
10+ years marketing experience
Previous experience and knowledge of Nielsen products and services a plus
B2B and B2C experience a plus
Business development or sales experience a plus
