When you want to get your message out to the world about a business, product, service, or idea, a wide range of Web-based options are available to you today. You can publish a simple PDF online that your target audience can read. You can set up e-mail networking or sign up with numerous forums in order to post your content. You can even develop a digital audio or video file and podcast your story or message via RSS feed to anyone who wants to tune in.

Digital podcast files are versatile. The file of a podcast show can be downloaded to a digital platform such as a computer, iPod, or MP3 player.Content can be listened to or watched whenever the audience chooses. Or, the user may prefer burning the digital file onto a CD to listen to while cruising down the road or kicking back at home. In addition to providing an excellent entertainment medium, podcasts are also a convenient and far-reaching medium for promoting your business, services, and products. Imagine the interest you can generate by telling your story to the world. And, you can launch contests and offer giveaways that require visitors to sign-up or subscribe to your RSS feed.

The next step in creating a podcast is blogging. Even though it is done at an easy pace, blogging appeals to a variety of peopleother bloggers, of course, and ordinary folks, too. Podcasters tend to create their content in either digital audio or video formats. Suitable file formats include MP3, MP4, M4V, M4B, or MOV. Users upload the file online or link the file via a blog posting they may have created. Some of the most popular blogging systems out are WordPress and Blogger™. Experienced podcast developers recommend avoiding lengthy commercials. Podcasts can be extremely frustrating to listeners if they deliver content lasting more than 30 minutes but provide only 1015 minutes of useful content.

Many of the people who listen in to podcasts are auditory learners. In short, they prefer to learn by listening. They may not want to read a website posting, so they listen to the message instead, making it a lot easier for them to catch up on all the details offered. People check out blogs any time of the day or night, whether commuting to and from work or getting ready for bed. Users can download various podcasts with podcatcher software such as Juice or iTunes. Or, they can subscribe to the RSS/Atom feed of a particular podcast and it'll automatically be downloaded each time a new segment airs.

Blogging websites and podcasts can be developed piece by piece inexpensively or at no cost with open source software available on the Internet. And then, through podcasts you can reach out to different audiences in various ways and generate tons of business-rich traffic because they'll be responding to your voice and what you have to say.
