· Twitter decided to raise $1bn from the market through its first ever IPO. Today Twitter has got 213 million users and 500 million tweets a day. This will be the next social media giant after Facebook going IPO way to raise fund. Twitter earned revenue of $254 million in the first six months in 2013and its net loss is $69. None knows reason for the loss. Its revenue model should be redefined and a new road map to be drawn to take the Company to a new growth graph.
· 399 deaths reported so far after a boat capsized near an Italian island. The nation mourns.
· The US shut down costs the President as he has to miss two summits including APEC. These summits are a necessity for the US to increase its trade to the upcoming markets.

· Samsung declares it will have better performance and profit in the next season. Samsung had launched many innovative products including its Galaxy category recently, made the Company world’s one of the best innovators after Apple. Samsung invest a lot in R&D.
· The FARC rebels began their armed struggle in the early 1960s in rural areas of Colombia demanding reform, now almost reached an agreement with the government. Armed struggle has become a new threat to the irresponsible governance. In India Maoism has grown in the tribal belt demanding better facility and life quality for Tribal. But, finally ended up as a money extortion mafia from the tea plantation Companies. The government is fighting against the Maoists but many key leaders lost and both sides paid price laid their life.
· The Egyptian government has taken over the assets of the banned Muslim Brotherhood that fighting against the existing system.
· Irish government plans to make the country a Tobacco free zone. It may not be successful as the country is coming under the cold region. The origin of Tobacco consumption was to resist and survive in chilly winter in the western region. Man has yet to discover a substitute for tobacco to tide over the winter season...
