Merlin Irish

06/07/2012 16:12

Located just outside of the tourist areas, deep in New Town, Merlin's Irish Bar is a local
favorite and the beer of choice is a traditional Czech brew on tap that is delicious and
fairly priced. Despite the name, Merlin isn't exactly a bar plucked right out of Ireland
herself and her patrons aren't exactly Irish either. The lovely décor features wood
paneling and a picture of the green isle displayed above on the light-blue ceiling. But,
truly the most Irish thing about the bar is the Jameson Whiskey and the Irish ribs. These
mouthwatering treats are served with either garlic or Merlin's special honey, the 500
grams of roasted ribs are delicious and a little more than one might expect from an old
local haunt.

Just past the bar with its large windows and cozy places to sit, patron’s will find a
restaurant that is pleasant and inviting enough for receptions, weddings and company
parties. It's a comfortable and casual atmosphere for most occasions and there's even a
garden for guests to relax in after a meal or while enjoying a drink. The dishes are varied
from a traditional steak to the spicy taste of Mexican cuisine. Merlin’s caters to every
craving including offering a delectable variety of vegetarian cuisine. Besides great food,
Merlin offers a fantastic wine menu that feature Staropramen, Stela Artois, Velvet and
Kelt. Not to mention classic beers like Corona, Guinness and Heineken.

Merlin's bar is a local favorite, proud of its charming mix of different foods and cultures.
Come and enjoy a unique and memorable experience of delicious food, good beer and a
relaxing atmosphere.
