BWSR is the Decontamination, Decommissioning, and Demolition (D&D) sub-contractor the Naval Research Facility in Idaho Falls, ID, and performs the remediation of legacy nuclear and environmental materials on site. The main project areas at the site include remediation of historical research facilities, demolition of buildings, and characterization of site-infrastructure to support on-going maintenance and construction.
Responsibilities:
Perform detailed engineering to support the decontamination and dispositioning (D&D) services and perform nuclear facility upgrades and construction projects. The successful candidate will be a multi-faceted project engineering with five (5) or more years of electrical engineering experience responsible for:
- Performing detailed engineering to support construction and infrastructure upgrade projects in a nuclear facility.
- Preparing comprehensive work procedures to perform construction and infrastructure upgrade activities.
- Maintaining project-related documentation and preparing required reports.
- Maintaining knowledge of technical requirements applicable to the assigned scope of work.
Job Qualifications / Requirements
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (other engineering discipline may be considered with five (5) or more years of electrical experience).
A current DOE Clearance is a plus.
Previous experience in the nuclear or radiological field is desirable.
Applicants selected will be subject to a Federal background investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information or matter. Position requires U.S. Citizenship with (no dual citizenship) ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy (DOE) security clearance which involves an extensive criminal and financial background investigation and previous employment reference verifications.
